"Titanium Stub End"is commonly translated into English as"titanium flange stub end","titanium pipe end flange", or"titanium lap joint flange". In pipeline engineering, it is a special pipe fitting used for loose flange connections.

1. Structure and working principle

Appearance: One end is a straight pipe section, while the other end is flared outwards.

Connection method: The straight pipe end is directly welded to the titanium pipeline.

Flange fit: It is used in conjunction with a loose (backed) flange. Since the flange can rotate freely on the nipple, it is very convenient for pipeline installation and bolt hole alignment.

2. Core advantages

Strong corrosion resistance: The fluid medium only contacts the titanium nipple, not the backing flange. Therefore, the backing flange can be made of lower-cost carbon steel or stainless steel, significantly reducing the amount of expensive titanium metal used.

Easy to maintain: Due to the movable flange, disassembly, cleaning, or inspection of the pipeline is very quick.

3. Application materials and standards

Material: It is commonly made of commercially pure titanium (such as Gr1, Gr2) or titanium alloy (such as Gr5 / Ti-6Al-4V).

Manufacturing standards: Commonly followed international standards include ASME B363 (Standard for Seamless and Welded Tubing of Titanium and Titanium Alloys) and ASME B16.9, etc
