Introduction:

Titanium square bars are rod-like materials made of titanium—available in grades such as TA1, TA2, TA9, TA10, and TC4. Characterized by low density, high specific strength, and resistance to corrosion, heat, and low temperatures. Novel titanium alloys can withstand long-term use at temperatures of 600°C or higher while maintaining good ductility and toughness at cryogenic temperatures ranging from -196°C to -253°C.

Test Method:

The inspection of titanium square bars is conducted in accordance with applicable product standards—such as GB/T 2965-2007, ASTM B348, GB/T 13810-2007, and medical-grade standards like ASTM F136/F67—covering aspects such as dimensional tolerances, microstructure, product condition, and surface quality. Tolerance grades typically include H11, H9, H7, and H6, while microstructural ratings range from A1 to A9. Product conditions include annealed (M), hot-worked (R), and cold-worked (Y) states; notably, annealed products often undergo ultrasonic testing. Surface finishes include forged, rolled, turned, and ground surfaces.
